Joe, a native of Salem, MA, founded Szczechowicz Landscape Services in 1975 out of his back yard in Lynn, MA. When you meet him, you will see his passion for the industry is palpable.

Joe also attends seminars and conferences regularly. Staying current on rules, regulations, methods, environmentally safe options and products.   

In the early days of Szczechowicz Landscape, Joe ran the business from his home in Lynn where he met his wife, Karen, while playing on the city softball league. Karen and Joe raised their children, Andrea and Kevin, in Lynn before moving to Middleton where their son kept chickens that supplied them with delicious fresh eggs every day. After years of playing hockey in various North Shore leagues, Joe now enjoys hunting deer, hiking, and spending time in New Hampshire. He is delighted that Kevin works for SLS, and he gets to see him nearly every day. Thanks to kids, Joe and Karen now have five delightful grandchildren to dote on. 

Joe is a nature lover and an avid bird watcher. He loves to photograph birds, animals, reptiles and any other creatures he finds while wandering the outdoors.  Check out the gallery below to see some of his photos.
